December 2025 - The project is operated by Equinor; June 2023 - Equinor has restarted operations at the terminal following an unplanned outage; February 2023 - Equinor has awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract to Aibel for modifications at the terminal; January 2023 - Equinor and its project partners are planning to invest NOK13.2bn (USD1.3bn) to upgrade the terminal; June 2022 - Hammerfest LNG has resumed production; Project Cost - NOK51.3bn
