March 2026 - QatarEnergy declared force majeure on all LNG shipments on 4 March 2026 following Iranian drone attacks on Ras Laffan Industrial City on 2 March 2026. Production halted; Energy Minister stated return to normal deliveries expected 'weeks to months' after hostilities end. Shell and TotalEnergies cascaded force majeure to downstream customers. April 2021 - Qatar Petroleum is set to become 100% owner of the project, as it has chosen to not renew the Qatargas LNG Company Limited joint venture between Qatar Petroleum, Total, ExxonMobil, Marubeni, Mitsui upon the expiry of the relevant agreements on 31 December 2021; July 2019 - Qatargas has delivered 3000th cargo
