November 2025 - The project is operated by Woodside Energy Group Ltd; As per September 2020, Timor - Leste is reassessing its ambitious petroleum development plans, which include the Woodside Energy Group - operated Greater Sunrise project, after discovering the economic analysis behind its proposed schemes is inaccurate; As per October 2019, Timor - Leste is planning to develop an onshore LNG terminal for Sunrise fields, after 2018 treaty between Australia and Timor - Leste on maritime border in Timor Sea had come into force in August 2019
