December 2025 - The project is owned by Energy Capital Partners Management, LP and Centrica; August 2025 - Centrica plc and Energy Capital Partners have completed the acquisition of the Grain LNG terminal from National Grid as a 50-50 joint venture; May 2024 - National Grid is aiming to sell the project; June 2023 - QatarEnergy has booked capacity from 2025 as part of expansion of the terminal; January 2022 - Murphy has been awarded a major contract to expand the terminal; As per October 2020, National Grid has signed a 25year contract with Qatar Terminal Limited (QTL) to provide storage and redelivery capacity at the project
