March 2026 - Inbound LNG supply at risk due to Strait of Hormuz closure declared by Iran on 2 March 2026 following US-Israel war. Terminal physically operational but incoming cargoes disrupted. November 2025 - The project is owned by Bapco Energies (Formerly Nogaholding Company); April 2025 - Bahrain LNG terminal is receiving its first cargo in over five years via ship-to-ship transfer; Bahrain LNG has completed the mechanical construction and commissioning of the terminal in April 2020; Terminal includes floating storage unit (FSU), an offshore LNG receiving jetty and breakwater, a regasification platform, subsea gas pipelines from platform to shore, an onshore gas receiving facility, and an onshore nitrogen production facility
