May 2025 - The project is owned by Petrobras; January 2024 - National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency has authorised Petrobras to regain control over the project after the agreed period of thirty months; November 2023 - Excelerate Energy will extend the deployment of FSRU for regasification services at the Bahia Regasification Terminal from 1 January 2024; In December 2021, Petrobras has transferred operations of the LNG terminal to Excelerate Energy; In April 2021, Petrobras has published the call for the second bidding process to lease the terminal
