February 2026 - Commonwealth LNG has signed an LNG sale and purchase agreement with Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. (part of Mercuria Energy Group) to provide 1mntpa of LNG for 20 years from the project; July 2025 - Petronas has signed a 20-year deal to buy LNG from the project in June 2025; April 2025 - Mubadala Energy has signed an agreement with Kimmeridge to acquire 24.1% stake in SoTex HoldCo LLC; January 2025 - Final investment decision for the project is expected in Q325; September 2024 - Kimmeridge Energy Management Company, LLC has acquired 100% stake in the project and planning it to reduce it to 51%; August 2023 - Production is expected to commence in early 2027; As per August 2021, Summit Oil and Shipping Co. Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Commonwealth LNG to collaborate in the supply of LNG to Asia, including Bangladesh; FERC has suspended the environmental review of the project in March 2020
