December 2025 - Shell has exited from the project; March 2025 - The project is currently in the engineering and financial structuring phase; January 2025 - YPF has signed a MOU with India's Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Videsh (OVL) for supply of LNG from the terminal; December 2024 - YPF and Shell have signed an agreement to develop the project; August 2024 - YPF and Petronas have chosen the of Rio Negro as the location over the originally proposed Bahia Blanca; March 2024 - YPF expects to take a final investment decision on the first phase of the project in 2025
